Library books should only be obtained with the permission of the librarian.
Borrowers should examine books before leaving the library. If a book is damaged, the librarian should be informed immediately.
Any damage to books while out of the library will be charged to the borrower’s account, and they will have to make good the damage. Writing in books is punishable with a fine.
Books are issued for the use of the borrower only.
Books should not be kept for more than 14 days. However, they may be kept for an additional 14 days if they are re-issued.
Renewal of a book must be made before the due date.
Borrowers are responsible for the safe return of books.
If a book is lost, the borrower must replace it or pay for its cost.
